We know you might have a few questions before you book. Our frequently asked questions cover everything you need to know to feel ready for the ride.

On the first day of the tour, please meet at the Valognes Train Station at 11:30 am. You are welcome to book your pre-tour stay at any hotel in Valognes, though you must make your own way to the pick-up point at the pre-designated time.

Your tour ends with a drop-off at the Caen Train Station at 9:30am.

Arrival: We recommend arriving in Paris the day before the tour starts, to allow time to train to Valognes. Many guests like to arrive a day or two early to accommodate potential flight delays and/or explore the city prior to your tour start.

Departure: Departing on the last day of the tour, we recommend departing from Parisafter 5pm. Earlier departure times will require a separate transfer booked at your own expense.

You'll stay in two carefully chosen properties that perfectly capture the spirit of Normandy. First, a charming traditional hotel in a picturesque fishing town on the Cotentin Peninsula, a former coaching inn with a rich cooking heritage where everything is homemade and the French hospitality makes you feel right at home. Then, a magnificent historic château set in beautiful grounds in the heart of the Normandy countryside, with luxurious rooms, manicured gardens, a jacuzzi, and exceptional cuisine. Two very different properties, both utterly in keeping with the character of this remarkable region.

The Normandy tour follows a wonderful mix of quiet coastal roads, dedicated bike paths, and gentle back lanes through one of France's most historically significant and scenically beautiful regions. The terrain is largely flat to gently rolling — ideal for relaxed, steady riding — with the English Channel never far from view.

Each day brings a new chapter of history alongside the cycling. You'll ride past fishing harbors, half-timbered villages, and wide Atlantic beaches, with the D-Day landing sites, war cemeteries, and memorials woven into the route in a way that feels thoughtful and unhurried. Daily distances are comfortable and well-paced, with van support always on hand if you'd prefer to sit out a stretch.
