Special COVID-19 Statements

Updated Oct. 28, 2020

Dear Discovery Bicycle Tours Guests,

Although 2020 has been difficult for bike touring, we are looking with optimism toward 2021! You can now view our 2021 tour schedule on our website ... and look for a few new additions this fall.

GRATITUDE!
Many guests have contacted us to express their support, and we are extremely grateful. You inspire us to continue to offer amazing bicycling vacations in spectacular locations.

MORE OFFICE HOURS:
Our usual office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. There may be short delays as we respond to many inquiries.

NEW SAFETY MEASURES:
Your experience on our tours will be as safe as possible ... with new measures to increase social distancing and added health and cleaning protocols. We take temperatures frequently with no-touch thermometers and ask you to wear masks when indoors and/or may be close to others. Masks are not usually necessary while on your bike. Your health is very important to us, and we want you to be confident that the latest risk-reduction practices will be in place.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENTS:
During these unusual times, we encourage guests to room on their own unless traveling with someone in their own "household." We do not want to have someone room with a stranger in light of current health conditions. If you are traveling on your own, please choose the single supplement and protect your health and that of others. We hope that will change sometime in 2021. Thank you for your understanding.

LOCAL CONDITIONS CAN CHANGE:
Although we are staying on top of travel restrictions and which of our locations are open to more visitors, please be aware that conditions can change. If you have any concerns about the situation at your destination, feel free to contact us. We will provide you with what we have heard and can help research further. Remember to check with us before making non-refundable travel arrangements, and we recommend you choose airfares etc. that are as flexible as possible in terms of changes ... and consider travel insurance. We will continue to try to make our best determination of whether a tour is possible at about 45 days before each tour starts.

GET OUT AND BIKE ...
Take care of yourself and enjoy some cycling when you can.

Kind regards,

Scott and Thistle
And the Discovery Bicycle Tours Team
