Updated Sept. 16, 2021
Dear Discovery Bicycle Tours Guests,
We continue to monitor the latest guidance on health measures to protect guests ... and the communities we visit ... from COVID-19. Now that the Delta variant is causing more illness, we are asking guests to wear a mask in the van and where you can't practice social distancing. The good news is that your tour deposits are completely refundable (with no penalties for changes) until the final payment date. So you can reserve with confidence.
For tours starting after January 1, 2022, ALL guests must be vaccinated for COVID-19. Please bring proof with you on the tour.
In addition, we ask that guests take a COVID-19 test within 3 days of departing for your travels. Other than being vaccinated, this currently seems to be the best protection that you won't get ill on the tour or spread the disease during your trip. Tests are often offered for free, and home test kits are available.
Our usual office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. There may be short delays as we respond to many inquiries.
Your health is very important to us. All of our leaders are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. And we want you to take sensible steps to protect your health. We ask anyone who feels sick to not join the tour and anyone who becomes sick during the tour to notify leaders immediately.
LOCAL CONDITIONS CAN CHANGE:
Please monitor policy changes that impact your travel. Remember to check with us before making non-refundable travel arrangements. And we recommend you choose airfares etc. that are as flexible as possible ... and consider travel insurance. We will continue to try to make our best determination of whether a tour is going at (or before) the final payment date.
GET OUT AND BIKE ...
Take care of yourself and keep cycling!
