Vermont Basin Harbor Club Midweek Bike Tour – September 27-30, 2015

$1,095.00

Treat yourself to a relaxing and beautiful vacation based at the fabulous Basin Harbor Club, a 700-acre resort that commands a stunning location on Lake Champlain. Here, you can stroll along the waterfront, take advantage of the full spa services, follow nature trails, play a round of golf, or unwind as you enjoy the included delightful evening cocktail cruise on Lake Champlain.

The cycling is a delight, with lush rolling farmland opening to beautiful views of the lake, Otter Creek and the Adirondack Mountains. You enjoy a picnic after crossing the new Chimney Point Bridge into New York, and we include a visit to the charming village of Middlebury, home of Middlebury College. This is followed by a delightful tasting event at Otter Creek Brewery and at the new Woodchuck Cidery. Our final day includes a visit to the wonderful Lake Champlain Maritime Museum and a ride that takes us through Vergennes, following by a lovely, peaceful loop out to pretty Kingsland Bay.

Description

WHAT’S INCLUDED: A wine and cheese reception, an evening cocktail cruise, a beer tasting at Otter Creek Brewery, a hard cider tasting at Woodchuck Cidery, a visit to Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, 3 nights lodging, 3 breakfasts, 3 dinners, bicycle and helmet.

Final payment due 60 days prior to your tour (personal check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover)

*Single Travelers: A limited number of guaranteed private rooms are available on most tours at an additional cost. This cost is indicated on each tour page.

Single travelers willing to share a room will be charged an amount no greater than 50% of the guaranteed private room rate and this will be fully refunded if you end up sharing a room with another traveler. This cost is also indicated on each tour page.

The reason for these additional charges is that most of our inns charge Discovery Bicycle Tours by the room regardless of the number of occupants, but our per person tour rates are based on double occupancy. Therefore it costs Discovery Bicycle Tours substantially more to have only one occupant in a room. We do want to encourage single travelers and therefore absorb half of the additional cost to us when you end up in a private room without requesting it. You will note that on some tours there is no additional charge and this is because the inns on those tours are not charging Discovery Bicycle Tours.
