The wide and beautiful Hudson River carves through mountains and promontories, past gorgeous pastures and fields, and small riverside villages, views and vistas that inspired the Hudson River School artists more than a century ago. Quiet country roads twist and turn through woods, past wineries, exquisite horse farms, and rolling fields supporting apple orchards. These are the views and the rural paradise that brought the Gilded Age millionaires to the area and where they proceeded to lavish millions creating magnificent estates along the banks of the river. Our new bike tour immerses you in all this.
